Boris @ Carré – Bill Withers Tribute

It has been already one month ago… On Saturday May 28th Boris performed at the Carré Theater in Amsterdam. The concert “A concert for Bill Withers: 40 years of great music!” was specially organized for Bill Withers, and he was guest of honor this evening.

Together with other famous musicians, Boris had the honor to sing a few songs of and for this legend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was an amazing night! Bill Withers himself, sat in the front row and really enjoyed the show. After the concert, he even went to the afterparty at Toko MC Amsterdam, which was very nice and where we jammed until the early hours.

    Ik ben een groot fan van Bill Withers, van zijn soul zonder opsmuk, van de puurheid, het gebrek aan branie…en de kracht die daaruit spreekt..Die naaktheid kom je niet vaak tegen..

    En dan sta jij daar op een avond in Carré gewoon met diezelfde kwaliteiten te zijn en te zingen…Met  hart en met ziel, en wat een stem om er uiting aan te geven..Ik zie het net op youtube, zoekend naar een nummer van Bill Withers…Dank je wel!
